Sporting the family traits, Mike has dark hair, dark eyes, and is built like a brick wall. Unlike his little brother, Mike is abrupt and carries a confident attitude. He says what he wants, when he wants, no matter what.

When Samantha first meets him, she’s a little fearful of his gruff nature. But as she gets to know him, she realizes that under his tough exterior, well, he also has a tough interior (haha). But if you are genuine to him and his brother, then he will always have your back. And when you’re living in the middle of a forest with a red-eyed beast stalking you, well, it’s beneficial to have Mike on your side.

Though Mike isn’t a main character, he is very important to the story. He keeps everyone grounded, and when tempers rise, he doesn’t have a problem jumping right into the thick of things. As a matter-of-fact, I think he enjoys a challenge every now and then.

By the end of book one, you will see a glimpse of the softer side of Mike, and will know that he really does have a heart in that broad chest of his somewhere. But don’t get used to it, because as the series continues, so does Mike's cockiness. And when danger nears, Mike becomes a force to be reckoned with.
